Minimum Viable Homes
Problem
Due to a rapid appreciation of home values in the treasure valley and rise in interest rates, many people cannot afford basic shelter.
As for shelter options, there is a missing middle gap that starts above living in cars, homeless shelters, and friends and ends just below the lowest cost shelters
on the market with prices starting at $229,999.
Solution
Minimum Viable Homes, MVH gives new options for homeless and land owners (potential investors).
For potential investors, MVH can provide free training, support, and other resources to possibly complete an ADU for a fraction of current costs.
Proof Of Concept
In 2027, we are going to build an ADU for a fraction of going costs.
Based on past experience, applying DIY and alternate procurement, we expect the cost to be less than 30% of going costs.
While this is going on, each step in the construction will be recorded and documented to create videos and documents build their own ADU
Last year, in Seattle, we help build homes for the
The Hope Factory. They are building a home every 2 days for less than $5,000 each.
